Do you know? Aung Myae Oo monastic school in Sagaing has more than 2500 students, from kindergarten to high school. It has a very diverse student body. The students come from Kachin, Chin, Shan and Kayah states. It is one of the biggest monastic schools in Myanmar to date.
U Soe Lay, Senior Program Manager of Student Support and Experiential Learning at Thabyay Education Foundation kicks off 2015 educational outreach season with a specialized informational workshop on TEF programs and scholarship opportunities at Aung Myae Oo monastic school in Sagaing. The event was co-organized by E-Education Group and the Sayardaw of Aung Myae Oo monastery, and was attended by more than 350 students, young novice and monks. One of the Kant Kaw alumni, Yan Naing Oo, currently works for E-Education Group and he helped put together this event. Enjoy the album below.
