In September and October, TEF teacher training teams (CP and Educasia) traveled to remote areas in 3 states (Kachin, Shan and Kayin) and delivered 4 trainings benefiting 150 teachers and trainers serving IDP and disadvantaged populations.
The 5 day training in Kayin IDP area benefited 47 Mobile Teacher trainers (MTT). These MTT travel all the year across the territory to train hundreds teachers in remote and IDP villages. Two trainings were delivered in Kachin and targeted teachers serving IDP communities. The one in Mai Ja Yang lasted 5 days and had 33 participants. The one in Myitkyina lasted 3 days and had 50 teachers. The last training was in Kokang/Kutkai township, northern Shan. It lasted 3 days and gathered 20 teachers.
All trainees gave very positive feedback about the training expressing the invaluable contribution of these trainings in improving education in remote, marginalized and emergency areas.
