A total of 18 young men and women were honored on Friday, December 15, 2015 at the graduation ceremony of Community Leadership and Social Studies (CLASS), a year-long, intensive, residential program offered by Thabyay Education Foundation. The program prepares qualified students of diverse ethnic backgrounds throughout Myanmar for a leadership role in their community and university study abroad. Students in the CLASS program develop their potential for leadership through increased understanding of community project management and knowledge in social studies.
Ja Seng Pan, a CLASS graduate, spoke of her experience in the program: "Today, the first Batch of the CLASS program comes together at the end of one journey and the beginning of many more. We have learned never to be afraid to ask tough questions. We are sure that we leave from here better than before, with many answers and even more questions. So we will continue to exploring to find answers for these questions."
