Hein Htet Soe was brought up by ordinary parents in Kant-Ba-Lu Township, Sagaing Division. As he passed his matriculation with flying colors, he was accepted to the University of Medicine in Mandalay. However, he realized that he was not really interested in the medical profession but in fact wanted to do something in the field of business. So, he decided to leave his medical school for Yangon.
Fortunately, he heard the news of Thabyay Education Foundation’s Community Leadersdship and Social Studies – or CLASS – program from some of his friends and has got a great desire to join it. He gained admission to the program after sitting for both written and spoken tests. Currently, he is in term III and will shortly be attaining a diploma in CLASS. During his study in TEF, he enjoys his study a lot and at the same time has to work hard because he has encountered new experience and environment that he never expected before. He has been trying hard in the class as well as eagerly looking for any relevant information on chances of scholarship awards to apply for when opportunities come his way.
