| Moe Thu Zar, a graduate of University Preparation Program batch 13 at Kant Kaw Education Center, was selected to participate in the prestigious Young South East Asia Leadership Initiative – YSELAI’s five-week Religious Pluralism Program administered by the US Department of State Bureau of Education and Cultural Affairs. With three other participants from Myanmar, Moe Thu Zar traveled to the United States, where she was joined by other young leaders from Southeast Asian countries, to study and experience first-hand religious diversity and religious freedom there and hold dialogues with numerous religious leaders. |
“I learned a lot about religious freedom and religious diversity and the importance of leadership and interfaith dialogue skills,” said Moe Thu Zar upon her return from the weeks-long trip. “It was a priceless opportunity for me to experience the democracy of America and its immigration process as well.”
